This information has been collated using data from my previous weather recording station at College Farm, Penryn, Cornwall, U.K. The equipment used was a Diplex Six’s Max/Min thermometer mounted in a standard wooden Stevenson Screen (in white) supplied by Casellas. The rain gauge was a standard Meteorological Office MkII Splayed base rain gauge and the measure was a Casella rainfall measure. In those days, the 3 yearly rain gauge station inspection was carried out by staff from South West Water Authority and the Meteorological Office.
